IT IS WITH MUCH SADNESS THAT WE ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF TOM 'PADDY' HARVEY aged 87. The funeral is on Wed 20th Jan 12:45 at Kettering Crematorium Paddy played both Cricket and Hockey for the Club and was an Honorary Life Member of the Club. < Very sorry to hear the news concerning Tom. Am sure he will be greatly missed by all who knew him, both family and past playing colleagues.I was fortunate enough to play under Tom's captaincy at N'hampton Saints for a few years and greatly admired his love and tenacity for the game especially the 'no surrender' and 'they shall not pass' maxim which kept us all on our toes.Tom was always so generous with his time and whilst with the Kettering Vets would play, umpire or merely spectate to give encouragement to all. Remembered with huge affection - and this on behalf of all the 'Vets'. Chris Hales To say dignified summed up Paddy to a T. A great old fella who was based at Desborough Airfield during the war. Kettering Town Cricket & Sports Club is the umbrella organisation that manages the clubhouse and grounds on behalf of its members.
